Thank you gonna try out two 300watt on a inkbird controller.Multiple high voltage Eheim Jagers on a controller
It depends upon your tank temp, ambient temp, etc but 600 watts for a 600 gallon tank seems low to me.Thank you gonna try out two 300watt on a inkbird controller.
^ id do similar, but I don't trust those ink bird things - id run them on a controller using the controllers thermostatI would run atleast 3 600w, probably 4 and have them all on separate controllers.
The problem with those is they do not have their own thermostat. The last thing you want is heaters that rely on a single point of failure. Heater controller goes out of calibration, probe falls out of the tank, etc you might cook your tank. If the heater has a built in thermostat, it's a little more likely to fail on its own, but the entire system of controller + heater is waaay less likely to fail.![]()
Slimline Schego titanium heaters use PTC for better thermal management | Reef Builders | The Reef and Saltwater Aquarium Blog
Heater manufacturer Schego showed off a new PTC titanium aquarium heater at Interzoo 2022. Thinner and much longer than existing models these 5/8” thick slimline heaters come in similar wattages from…reefbuilders.com
Id keep these in mind.
Since you live in Miami I assume ambient temp in room with tank is relatively high year round and, hopefully, two 300 watt heaters will be sufficientSo I bought two 300 watt ehiem heaters and it’s holding the temp at 75.5f and confirmed it with the Hanna salinity salt checker since that also tells me temp lol. thank you all for your comments and recommendations
One that hooks up to your gas, lol similar to a pool heater I would think. That's a lot of water to heat. What heater should I go with for a 600 gallon tank?
