What will be the best heater for 110 gallon tank trying to build my tank

You should get 3. 2 for tank (one as a backup) and one to heat your water for changes.

I just bought a Helio PTC for my 120g tank. Haven’t hooked it up yet but I needed to try something different. I’ve bought 2 sets of the titanium heaters from BRS and neither lasted 4 mths. Right now I’m running on 2 cheap ones I had to buy quickly from PetCo which seem to be doing the job for now. We’ll see what happens.

IME most of them aren't very good, so make sure you use a temp controller, and have a spare. Plus plan on replacing them yearly.
I've started just buying the cheap ones from Amazon (orlushy I think) and they've been just as good as any other brand I've used.

Check out those Helio PTC’s at Marine Depot. While these look attractive, I use Eheim heaters.
I also like Eheim and never had problems with them. Their new thermocontrol-e models have slightly better accurate temperature control vs older models. They are also reasonably priced.

Eheim heaters. I will never use another brand. I’ve had mine for 4 years and it’s going strong. I would recommend getting two for a tank that large. Get a cheap temp controller from Amazon to run them. Worth the 30$.

My must haves:
1. Temp controller that's fails OFF
2. No glass (Titanium or maybe this new ceramic)
3. No built in thermostat

I've had so many large (250w or 300w) eheims fail over the years. They are LONG. Water eventually gets inside. I don't want chemicals or electricity to leach in my tank. I have a few 75w eheims where the thermostat part never touches water and they've held up fine.

I had a small cobalt for my QT/Hospital tank. It failed ON last year. Thankfully I caught it quickly and nothing died.

I also prefer multiple undersized heaters. Catastrophic failure of the heater doesn't mean catastrophic failure of the tank. I think I currently run 3 - 300 watt finnex titanium for my 400g total volume system with a ranco and Apex. I have two backups.

^^^^ that
I might add inkbird is a fine alternate to the ranco. People will argue all day long like ford vs chevy on those two but the approach is sound.
