hi guys ... ive just got hit by marine velvet. my local lfs recommended me to use this on my QT for the disease. anyone has experience with this product (Aquarium Münster Odimor)? cant seem to find much review on the net . thx in advance

Never heard of it, but the website mentioned its for freshwater fish. I believe it is some sort of copper from the list of diseases it mention it cures, but to be on safe side just use known copper meds like cupramine or coppersafe.

copper sulphate and malachite green

one of my preferred lfs claimed its working as per instructions.....well it should?

Webpage is not openng for me, but copper sulfate will cure velvet. Make sure you have test kit to measure copper level in water to ensure therapeutical level is achieved and no overdosing occurs.

dosed my tank few hours ago... just used my test kit to test for copper n the reading is 0......weird

regarding this thread copper sulphate can be tested with API copper test kit.

According to the instruction that comes with it you must dose it 3 times every other day, so the first dose should read around 0.5 to 1 ppm. Check the expiry date on either the medicine or the test kit because something seems wrong.

hi humblefish.. ive read ur treatment play on Brooklynella....would like to ask if copper can kill the remainder parasites on my QT water? or do i need to clear QT n clean everything?

Copper will not eradicate brook. The best in-tank treatment for that is metronidazole: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/metronidazole.298762/

You can combine metro with copper and probably malachite green as well.

Otherwise, you'll have to perform either a formalin or acriflavine bath to treat brook, and then transfer the specimen into a clean/sterile QT afterwards.

2. whats the max temperature fish can tolerate during ttm?

Yes, so long as you maintain a 10 foot distance between QT & DT: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/aerosol-transmission.190292/

You also need to be careful not to cross contaminate your DT via wet hands, feeding apparatus, top off, etc.

I would go no higher than 80F. Fish with parasites inside their gills have difficulty breathing and higher water temp just exacerbates the problem.
