Looking for help to move my new aquarium into my house. So far all the aquarium service and movers I've contacted are not panning out.

Any suggestions / recommendations for north Los Angeles (Santa Clarita) area? It's a CADE 2100, 7' long 240g glass aquarium that weighs about 600 lbs.

Did you try contacting LAX Aquariums, I know they do install and maintenance, not sure if they do moves but they'd be the first I'd check with.

Not LAX, no. I figured they were too far of a drive from me. Guess it's worth a shot... Thx

7 Seas Tropical Fish, in San Pedro, they do custom tanks and moving i believ. It's worth asking them. They are pretty cool but I'm pretty sure it would come down to the money for them if it would be worth the drive.

Oof, that's a heck of a drive for this. They'd end up spending more time driving than moving the aquarium!

I think part of the problem (not really a problem from my perspective) is that I only want the labor to move it. I don't want/need help setting up the plumbing and aquascaping.

Understood, but you'll pay a premium for labor that knows how to move an aquarium.

I have a friend who owns a logistics company, he is located in santa clarita, and has a 24 foot box truck with a pallet jack and a lift gate rated for a Ton or more I believe.

Maybe I can ask him, and see what his rate is, He Just started his business last year, and his prices are reasonable.

If you have the mileage total, I can let him know, and I can PM you.

Perhaps join MASLAC or other LA area society and ask for help? It will only take ~4 guys with suction cups and a dolly. Do you have the stand in place already? Door opening and hallways large enough to pass?
