Does anyone run a tank on a tile floor where the tiles are not flat, but have a bit of a raise to them and then the tiles themselves have texture to them? I am trying to determine if we can put a 75g tank or a 140g tank on the tile in the house. Both stands have leveling feet. 4 for the 75g total volume and 6 for the 140g total volume. I would say the top of the tile is about 1/4" above the grout. The subfloor is wood. Would you put something between the time and stand to help spread the weight, like 3/4" plywood?

If the stand have leveling feet it shouldn’t matter, since you can make sure the tank is level

Would the tiles need protection though? Help spread the weight out across them instead of 4 or 6 pressure points on it

No, putting something like plywood down will just create a space for moisture to get trapped under.
If the floor is built properly it’s fine, those tanks are small.

Unfortunately idk if the tiles were installed properly. The house was built in 1989.

I didn't put anything down - with the following system: 125 gallon tank, 40 gallon sump and a 350 lb stand. (the stand has leveling feet). The tile is over a concrete floor - about 1/4 inch thick = the tile is textured

I have a 600 gallon tank on a stand built out of 2x4s laying directly on my tile floor. The tiles are uneven like what you described. No issues at all
