Aquarium overflow box design

I'm completely newbie with marine aquariums (25y of freshwater experience) and now designing my first marine aquarium and overflow box into it. Could someone comment on my desing for the overflow box? It's supposed to be viewed from both sides, so I don't want tubes on the long sides.

Gigantic internal overflow boxes are kind of outdated now- I wouldn’t suggest them on a new reef tank build. Now people use external overflow boxes for a sleek look, and prevent wasted space in the display.

Personally, I like going through the tank bottom with my plumbing. I like keeping everything within the footprint of the tank and stand.

Do you think it’s easy to crack the glass between holes, if you accidentally push/turn the pipes while cleaning. I’m a bit afraid of that to happen.

Not at all.

I have a small rake that I drag through the substrate once per month to stir things up and get it into the water column so that it is picked up by the overflows.

Once the plumbing is in place, there isn't any reason to move the plumbing for any reason.
