Aquarium Padding

Just picked up a used 93g cube with a steel stand. The previous owner had 1/2" insulation between the tank and stand for padding, but ended up being shredded by the time I got home.

Is 1/2" insulation suggested? I plan to have this tank up for some time, so want to do it right the first time!

Do I just cut one up and use it? I see they are only 24" wide and my tank is a 30" cube

Some people do just plywood or plywood with insulation. It's up to you depending on what you think looks nice.

I have no idea sorry. I just know a lot of people use them for half the price of a “tank pad”.

I use half inch rigid foam board, any brand but the stuff that is white Styrofoam don't use, you will have those tiny white balls everywhere.

It originally had one, so I figured I would just replace it. I would like something there to confirm that the tank is being supported evenly.
