Aquarium Placement

Good evening everyone.

I have two questions on aquarium placement....

1. If the tank (red sea reefer 425xl) will be placed next to my air vent (larger one its in my basement approx. 12x12 inches) would this effect anything in my tank when hot or cold air blowing out? I am guessing it could mildly effect things although would it cause massive swings? The temperature in my house is generally set around 69/70 degrees.

2. I have an large window in my basement (an egress window), can sunlight coming through that window damage or "hurt" the tank. A quick solution would be black out curtains over the window.

The vent will prob not do much. The only thing you might notice is evaporation rate will change when the a/c or heater drys out the air

The light might cause algae. The ocean gets sun light all the time.

Thank you Lapin, I appreciate it. I may consider utilizing blackout curtains to deter any sunlight.
