i have just crawled out from under my stand riddled with cramps and aches over to my computer due to one of my tank peeves. i have just spent the last hour or so under my 30 inch stand cleaning up all the cords. while under there it hit me... lets make a post seeing what others are anal about, obsessed with, and anything else that goes with that general theme. if there is a story that goes along with your pet peve or obsession please do share!

Cords and I have to many test and miscellaneous l items and not enough shelves. Also, brown outs that make me reset my lighting trimmer everyday

Check my flicker not a plug with algae I can't stand them super clean so I brush almost daily.

Scratches on glass. It can be literally 1 mm it will drive me insane and does every time I look at the tank. To bad you can't get rid of them on glass..

don't get me started netta, i still have to add shelves to my stand
matt thats pretty funny. i have noticed your plugs are immaculate lol.

Now my wires are different I'm redoing my plumbing/sump/frag tank this week end. Meaning ima have to drain all them. I offer free frags to wire my tank neat =) open to anyone lol

ah man dude lol as much as i hate doing wires i am tempted. what are we talkin here? pick these up CordAway Self-Adhesive Wire Clips, 6-Pk - BJ's Wholesale Club just got mine in and they are perfect. i drove around for half an hour getting so mad no one had any and one second on google and bam. they ship free too so its a no brainer.

I like to use Panduit, which is just a plastic raceway for wires. I have even been known to cut/splice wires to make them longer, with butt splices and heat shrink I made that wire run all the way around my stand where I wanted it plugged in. One key to me is that everything must be labeled, on the controller and on the wire.

People only using latin names to describe a fish or coral. Drives me bananas.

Latin names, UGH!! No names, double UGH! When vendors put all their beautiful corals pictured for sale and expect me to know what they are, UGH!! Lol
Tank wise, my pet peeve is CLUTTER!

When vendors on eBay make listing titles like this one "Chalice, Acan, Zoa, Clam, Live Saltwater Fish". When I'm searching for a chalice frag I don't want to see everything else.

I refuse to buy from vendors who do that too, no matter how nice their coral looks...
