Aquarium safe acrylic

Hi,
How can i tell if acrylic is aquarium safe ?
Im looking to turn a spare tank into a sump and wanted to make my own dividers/bubble stopper.
And is there any other option other than glass or acrylic.
Im from australia.

Cell-cast acrylic is aquarium safe. But if you are just using acrylic as a sump divider it is not as critical as there will be water against both sides, reducing the required strength.
