Aquarium safe air filter

Hey!

Used one of these as my air filter canister. Had a fish die now 3 days later, but all others seem fine.

Is this considered aquarium safe?

BPA (Bisphenol A) free
Materials
Bottle:
Polyethylene
Lid:
Polypropylene

Those are totally safe if they are all that is there.
 
I assume it's all that's in there. Ikea selling it, and it is to hold food. Doubt they would dare skip toxic plastics, right?

I agree. I'd look for other causes.
