We are just starting our 55g tank and we did DIY approach to the overflow cover because my husband got the acrylic free from work. We would like to paint it black but unsure of what paint would be safe? We have read Krylon Fusion is good but no one says why lol. Is that the only option?

I apologize but are you talking about paint for the back of the tank or for the overflow cover that will be in the water?

The fusion is reef safe because after fully curing, the paint it completely inert and will not leech any harmful chemicals into your tank. Plus its designed to bond to plastics!
