Aquarium Seal Question

I was wondering if a used tank sat dry for a VERY long time, would the seal still last? I have an opportunity to buy a used look-down tank for dirt cheap, but it could possibly be a couple years before it's even used...It's acrylic.

Shouldn't be a issue just check for any signs of cracks.

Years later after my purchase...I'm trying to find out if a seal can go bad at all being used and dry for a long time.

The big question has the tank been sitting in sunlight? Acrylic can get brittle over time if sitting in sunlight for too long. But a leak test would be your best bet to find out.
