Hey everyone,

Does anyone have any go-to apps that they recommend? Whether it’s for logging parameters, identification etc Anything goes, I’d love to hear what you use!

Also is there any apps that don’t exist that you wish did?

Any of the lighting we use open source? Would love to program lunar cycles etc

I just use an excel spread sheet to keep my test results. You don't need anything fancy.

We use Aquarium Assistant on a tablet. It has entries for every parameter you can think of and several extra features we have yet to use, such as calculators for mixing water, etc.

I use a Google Form and save the results in a Google Sheets documents. I built charts in the Sheets document that automatically update when I enter new results. It's quick and easy to set up the forms, quick and easy to pull up on my phone or PC, and it's quick and easy to see the results.

I’ve used AquaPlanner for years. It’s adequate, but not great. For instance it will keep all of your test results, keep track of your equipment, has a notes section, etc.; but it’s a little “clunky” to use. For instance, to see charts, you have to go back and forth from your test history page. Also, you cannot set the range for parameters that you want. An example would be that it says normal po4 is 0-0.03... well if I want it to be at 0.06, I’m always “high” on that measure. It doesn’t mean anything, no alerts go off or anything, it’s just that it’s 2020 and that sort of stuff should be customizable.

I think I might switch to something else so I’m following this thread.
