I have the following stand which fits a 110 gallon fish tank. As you can see in the picture the aquarium sits up on lip... I am just starting to get this setup and wondering do the edges really support all thw weight of the water and the aquarium.

I have the same stand for my 65g, I had the same concern but it’s actually really sturdy. The entire weight of the tank is in fact supported on the edge. Mine was purchased second hand and I added 2x4s on each corner right before it contacts the tank (probably unnecessary) for extra rigidity and peace of mind.
