So I decided to build a bit of different kind of stand for my sumpless nano build and had a couple questions about the levelness of the stand.

So for this tank it appears one corner is slightly lifted.

Could that have to do with the mat? (I’ve never used an innovative marine mat for any of my tanks before) should it be fine once water compresses it?

also my front to back stand is leveled all the way around however my side to side is slightly off. Is it within people’s standard?

Very cool stand.

You can buy furniture feet pads and stick them under the right foot of the stand. May just fill it with water and see if you can visually see if the waterline looks off.

As for the tank I think you're right, it might just be the pad. That should true up once filled. I assume there are not any gaps between the level and the top of the stand so its either the tank or the pad.

Thank you. I mean I bought a butcher block as the top so my assumption is that top is flat. But it’s a pretty small gap, I’m going to assume it’ll fill with water. I’ll just fill slowly and watch it.

So maybe the butcher block is slightly off as far as being flat. It appears if I flip the butcher block around, all the corners end up sitting flat. So I’m wondering if the block is ever so slightly bowed in the middle which causes the corner when on the original side to be lifted.

Is the pad something that would technically help relive the pressure if I decide to use the original side?

I would say the pad will take up some of the difference but I think there will always be a pressure point that would concern me.

Edit: Awesome idea on the stand though, I really like the idea!

yeah I’m just not really a wood worker so it’s hard for me to figure out what the solution would be. Just flip it and use the side where all the corners are touching?

Also I put the solid butcher block on my big granite slab and then the aquarium and the corner was barely touching but I don’t see how the stand could be doing that.

And thank you!

put a small shim or even folded up paper under the left front corner between stand and board and see if that removes the bend. If so then its the stand thats off just a bit but that would really surprise me since it looks like the cutting board is what 1 1/4" - 1 1/2"
