I have a 150 gallon aquarium on a steel stand. The middle brace was cut out to fit the plumbing .

the water has been filled. Should I be concerned about glass collapsing in the future?

I even held off on filling with sand now.

advice appreciated

I believe most off the weight is on the outside edges of your tank . So you should be fine . If the tank was wider then yes I would have a center brace.

That center brace was over-kill to begin with. From what I see, that stand will be plenty strong enough, even without the center brace. The corners were already fully braced too. The vertical (center) supports are carrying the weight and will prevent any sagging. That center brace was unnecessary.

No worries.
