I just bought a 65 gallon tank, drilled bottom, came with the whole set up, I got it all home all plumbed then noticed the bottom pieces of wood that are against the floor are all water damaged and swelled, it's all dry and hard. The tank was full and running when I arrived to pick it up and supposedly had been for 3 years in that spot.
My question is the stand safe to continue to use knowing the tank was established less the 24hrs ago with the damage it has

agree pics will help. Is it DIY or made from pressed wood?
A DIY stand will last forever, you can probably replace the damaged parts, or at least reinforce it.
If its pressed wood, I would replace it.

Like I said when I arrived to pick the tank up it was established, coral, rock, sand, filters all running established. He said the guy sold it to him like that 3 years ago and obviously it was okay for him but do I really trust it I have 20 gallons of water and the 60ish lbs of sand. It seams solid it doesn't move or sway or anything. Doesn't make any noise if pressed against

I would replace the stand.
