When ever I go to the locals fish stores in my area there is quite a few I frequent three in particular. They only ever have the blue lights on over corals and always radion lights. R they really that much better of leds over everyone's else's. don't get me wrong I love my mp10s but I just don't want to spend 700 on a single light fixture.

One of my LFS has nothing but Kessils. They went from all pendants to all AP700s or whatever the acronym is for their dual fixture lightbox. Wow! But they have soooo many of them over their main tanks all in a line perpendicular to the tank! I could never afford to suspend so many fixtures at one time!

No they aren't, but I'm going to bet that they also sell radions!

I have started bringing an led flashlight with me to get a better idea what the coral will look like in actual light.

Radions are good lights, no doubt, but there are IMO comparable lights for a fraction of the cost.

I've never been big on dropping big bucks on the popular brands. I can usually find something that works as well or almost as well for less. Only reason I've been able to stay in this hobby.

I was running the corona from rapid Led on my 29 (going to the frag tank on the new setup) which I found to be very comparable to the radion and was almost half the price.

I also think manufacturers may offer incentives for using their products in stores (I know this was sometimes the case when I was in the industry, but that was really in the days pre-LED craze) but that may not be the case.

I always wondered if Radion manufacturer gives stores a huge discount if they use Radions. As for all blue lights running, the corals look better under lots of blue.
