So my aquarium got up to at least 85 today. Need to consider a long term solution. Any suggestions? Should I do anything to get it back down? My trumpet coral is turning white(bottom left) and droopy.

You can get some fans and dial up your AC in the house, or purchase a chiller. I live in GA and my reef goes up a few degrees in the summer but never over 82 degrees.

I utilize a usb fan over my 38. I have it setup on my apex to turn on at 78.5 and off 78.2. House AC set at 77 (ya my summer electric bill it 100+ more than winter). You can see it in left hand corner. You would be amazed at how well a fan can work

Fans blowing across the surface of the water, or run a chiller.

Thanks. I have 3 fans on it now so we'll see how it goes. Definitely looking into a chiller. I was surprised my torch coral took a dive so quickly.

Ya see how the fans work. Chillers are not cheap.
I second the ice thing.. we have used it on my daughters fresh water tank
Do you have a cover on the tank?

well don't pull the gun to quick on the chiller. Give the fans a chance. My fan can literally drop the tank 4 degrees if I allowed it to run all the time.

You will see increased evaporation so keep in mind if you run ato with container you will need to fill it more often with the fans.
If you use kalk and have it tied into ato you will be topping off more. So you may want to dial back the kalk if utilized
