Aquarium Torsion - Am I screwed?

Just looked over and realized that my tank (standard 10g) must have been shifting. The both edges on the right side appear to have slipped so that now ~1mm of the front and back face extend past the side glass.

I didn't think to put a leveling mat under this tank What's the risk of a catastrophic failure here? Should I just bite the bullet and move everything to another tank?

Yeah pretty sure a new tank is in order. Better safe than sorry.

My freshwater tank did this eventually leaked. Better safe than sorry!

Are you sure it wasn’t always like that? The standard tanks with framed tops and bottoms don’t need a mat under them.

Forgot to add, I’ve seen some very sloppily put together tanks at petco. Saying that, it’s only a 10 gallon, if you’re worried I’d just replace it.

I actually seen brand new tanks made by aqueon at petco have this manufacturing defect. I almost bought my 75 gallon like that, good thing i checked the corners and picked another one. One glass is sticking out. Check the silicone and see if its not clear and cloudy then its a sign, but if its clear and no cloudy or bubbles it should be ok. But since it's 10 gallon, its cheap to replace if your worried about it.

This looks like a fairly common Aqueon seam to me, plenty of their brand new tanks have seams like that, a few of mine included.

Took your advice and decided to just reset up my 20g peninsula AIO. Kind of defeated the original purpose which was to have low tech macro tank but on the bright side I have more room for more stock now.

Thankfully the 10g was fully cycled with a lot of mature live rock and sand which I was able to move over easily so I am hoping I can avoid a crash, will be testing regularly just to make sure.
