Aquarium weight

While I am wondering what a "freshwater only" tank is, I am also getting concerned about the weight of this 150 gallon. I plan on putting is directly against a wall that is supported by a steel beam. Anyone else have a 150 gallon that worries about the weight?

Did on anticipated buyers remorse on this thing but here it is.

I am putting my 160 over doubled-up joists. The tank is running parallel to the joists, which isn't ideal since the weight will only be on two joists instead of spanning three. I had my contractor beef up the joists and told him to ensure it could support 2,000 lbs of weight. So, I'm a tab concerned, but not overly.

It might have a greater impact on my flooring (LPV) than anything.

Are those joists near a foundation wall or steel beams. Or more in the middle? If you are more in the middle then I for sure should be OK. I think.

A lot depends on how the stand distributes the weight. A 100lb woman walking in high heels can puncture holes in flooring because of all the weight being focused. Err on the side of caution but don’t lose sleep over it.

Yeah, it is closer to the side of the house which obviously is near the foundation. I'm not super concerned, but I still wish it spanned more joists just for even more peace of mind.

What's underneath? I added a jack post in the basement under my 90 for some piece of mind. Walking near the tank feels like your walking on a concrete slab

A steel beam is just adjacent. Seems like that should be enough. But the tanks is going to be over 2000 pounds. I cant add a jack post like you did since my basement is finished.
