Aquariums with a blue back?

So i am looking to maybe change up my tank, currently i have a 150gal tall all glass with the front panel being star. however I'm growing more and more unhappy with having a tall tank ( space constraints and PAR levels being weird to work with) so i want to get a wide aquarium, the local shop has a 125gal wide acrylic tank Brand new for ~300 but it has a blue back panel and I'm dot sure how that will look with a reef tank and i don't want to go through the same resentment i had with the tall choice again with the blue back... does anyone care to share some photos of their reef systems that have a blue back so i can see what that would actually look like?

I don’t recall seeing many blue backgrounds here but I’m sure there are some.

You can always peel and remove the backing if it’s vinyl or if it’s painted you can remove that too. A lot of people do that and have a “See thru” tank.

Also if you remove the blue backing you can paint it black for a typical look.

Best pic i could find of the 30 gal. I painted the back a sea blue and really liked it...i have a jbj with a black back now prefered the blue the corals popped better.

This is from about a month ago. I've since scraped most of the coraline off the back and it looks much cleaner. I'll try to take another pic when I get home.

I have a dark blue back on my tank. I used colored poster board. Cheap and easy to swap out if you don't like it. Just a few strips of cellophane tape.

I've had a blue back acrylic tank. $300 seems like an incredible deal for a 125g for glass let alone acrylic! Stop thinking and go get it!! [emoji6]

Blue is of my preference over black. Light reflection is better, tank looks brighter, and more natural look
