Does anyone know why Aquaroche rocks seem to promote algae growth? This is the only time I've ever had algae like this for as long as I can remember. My other rocks are coralline-filled and no speck of this algae.

The aquaroche ceramic rocks I have are around 2 months old - inserted in an already mature tank when I took out my last aquascape and replaced it with this.

PO4 reading is usually 0.00 to 0.02

Any ideas?

Unless the rock is leeching something off and the algae is consuming it before it hits the water column making you read 0 on tests. Other than that I am unfamiliar with that type of rock but it makes sense because all of your other rock is algae free.

What happens is that the new pieces are free of growth and the algae has a easy place to grow.
