Ok so let me tell you where I am today. I have had the tank set up for going on 2 months now. I have had a FW 29g tank for 3 years now. I have always wanted a SW setup and decided to pull the trigger a couple months back. I have been a Forum spy for awhile, and everything I am learning(which is daily) I learn from this site, my local LFS, and from my tank. I feel I have learned a lot in a short period of time. I have started this 10g with the mindset of getting my hands wet and then stepping up to a 75-120 next year by then I should know some of the pitfalls to watch out for since the investment in the 120 would be so much more than what I am in now even though to date I have spent roughly 500.00 on this tank! eek Don't let the wife know. lol So here it goes....

The Equipment

1 10g tank from Wally World

Well thats it for now. Gotta get back to work. And wish I could resize the above images...Should I start using the attachments? Not on my cp with Adobe to resize these:(

Off to a good start! Love the clowns!

Yes my misbar is starting to turn black from at the top of his head back. Was a little worried about it till I found some posts that said it was normal and that he is just coloring up.

It's looking good!!! I like the rock work. It looks like there maybe some aiptasia. Third post 1st and 2nd post.

And yes I am in the middle of battling the aptasia. that came in off some frags. Using Aptasia X right now and just picked up some more peppermints since the last two where eatin by the neon dottyback ( which has been removed ). Also my electric flame scallop closed up and died. When I opened the shell a crazy white crab jumped out. It was a cool experience, so of course I did not know what it was. Thinking it had killed the scallop I was debating on removing him or not, come to find out it was a Pea Crab that live in with the muscle. My temp dropped like 8 degrees because the weather has been getting cold and my wife hasn't let me run the heater. I hadn't had a heater in the 10g nano because the temps had remained fairly consistant, so I did go out and get one. Still trying to figure out what killed the scallop but I think it could have been a combination of the temp drop and the crab takes food from the scallop so it could have starved. The crab is about dime sized, but who knows. Will be uploading pics of the Pea Crab once I get one. Here is a pic of the Tiger Goby I have. When I was trying to catch the neon dottyback for removal I had to remove half my rocks when I did he was in the bucket with the dottyback once I put the rocks back in the aquarium and I did not realize it till I got the the LFS to trade so bagged him back up and put him back in the tank. Never saw him when the dottback was in there but now he's out all the time. Much better when a predator isn't in there trying to hunt you down all the time.

my electric flame scallop withered recently not sure of the exact cause i think it was multiple things but needless to say this guy came out of the shell. you can see the red of the scallop that he'd been nibbling on.
