aquascape background new member

What do you guys do with your background glass? Use a picture film, clean it ,paint it or let it go to coraline algae? looking for ideas and aquascaping, but simplicity.

I painted mine. I did a fade with spray paint so it is black at the bottom and blue at the top.

I always paint the backs blue or black using latex so it can be easily removed if needed.

Definitely a personal preference.....I scrape my back glass clean just because I don't like the look of coraline....or anything else on the back glass. Just sucks up ALK and Ca lol.

I used a blue vinyl film. SO EASY.

painting with a fade from black to blue sounds really cool though.

Black background here on all tanks past and present too. I clean the inside glass often. I don't like the look of any algae including coralline on the back.

i used the green foam board insulation.
also comes in blue.
hangs on with velcro.
my tank is an in wall with a fish room behind it so that's why i went with removeable.
