I am starting a 30x30x24 cube. I did not want too much rocks, want to see fish swim around in the open at the same time I want enough real estate for my sps.
I also want to create a euphyllia garden and a small zoa island.
You will just need to be mindful of the shadows cast by your aquascape and take note of the realestate that you have for your coral. The more rock you have in the light, the more space you have. It is just something to keep in mind. I however, like this aquascape a lot, I like the piece jutting out on the left. Personally I would like an acro or an encrusting coral on it.
I am using one Radion G4 XR30W and one Kessil, I am going to add another XR30W G4 and remove the kessil so I can get good light coverage. IS there anything I can do to remove that different colors on the sand. The light does have difuser on it, but it's still putting out the disco effect.
I really like it a lot... Dont change it based on this - because - seriously - I really like it - one question and a comment? Can you see from the left side or right side what might be on the large piece of rock that looks (to me lol) an alligators snout) on the left side (that is slanting up) - ie any corals, etc that you might put on that piece? The comment - I would put taller corals on that piece - so that you're not just looking at the bottom of the 'snout'.
PS - you could also glue frags on the underside of the snout that will grow to the light.
I think its a really original use of rock. If you could make sure there is (cant tell from the picture) a space to allow easy access underneath the main bridge rock on the bottom (for flow) so much the better
Its cali cornered and set in such a way I can see the tank laying in my bed. Straight on will be the best view. It can be viewed from the sides too but it wont be the best view. Yes there will be enough access and flow underneath the main bridge. I put the sand after the rock structure was done, that's the reason why the sand looks piled up. Once the sand spreads out the bridge gap will widen out.
