Was scaping my rock and had a piece fall over and create a sand storm.. any ideas how to clear it up any time soon??

If the tank is running, just let it run, the filter socks in the sump should catch most of it and clear it up for you :)

Personally, if there’s nothing in it, I’d stir it up to make sure you get it all filtered out.

You don’t want this happening with livestock in there

Consider it ‘rinsing the sand in situ’ instead of before adding it

Additionally, use something like this to hold the rocks together so this cant happen in the future (dont want your critters getting crushed).

Another tip for putting fresh sand in is to put your rock on the bottom first and then put the sand in afterward. This way if you get a Goby or something that likes to dig around your Aquascape doesn't collapse. I already had water in the tank so I got a piece of 2" PVC pipe and put a 4" to 2" reducer on the end as a funnel. Then pour the sand in directly to the bottom and it won't over cloud the aquarium.

Thanks everyone! I ended up using my hands to stir it up a little more before I got the rock in and then I did use some epoxy to hold the rock together once I got it scaped. Originally I didn’t have the epoxy and while I leaned over to get a supporting rock structure the other fell. No issues now as the epoxy seems to be holding everything nicely.
