Hello everyone. About to start a new structure for my new tank. I’ve ordered some emarco 400 and acrylic rods to hold the structure together. Where I need help is, what do I use to set the acrylic rods in place on each rock? Do I use the emarco to set the rods or superglue?

For some I used super glue, as I had a bunch of it. For others nothing, they just sat as I needed them, and then I cemented 2 pieces together.

I need to consider doing the acrylic rods. This past weekend I saw a tank where the guy is using these for his LPS and SPS. thought that was a neat idea

Drill your holes with a purpose and ideally you can use mostly gravity to attach. It's so much more convenient being able to move rocks around when necessary.

After this last tank move, I can see that very well now.....

People dont use glue gun because the glue doesnt hold up well underwater.

I did not glue a single one of mine, used about 40kg of rock

I use instant ocean, it was cheap and matched my rock. Probably didn’t need it but it made me feel like they were more secure

I Used expoxy but went through alot of tubes, So would recommend using something cheaper like emarco cement - depends on how dirty you want to get. If expoxy came in a 5 gallon bucket Id use it all day
