Aquascape location

This may be weird but has anyone ever placed rock on the back wall of your tank? I don’t mean placing it from the bottom of the tank and leaning against the back. I mean silicone pieces of rock right to the back of the tank along with what you normally do on the bottom for aquascaping.

I dont see why you couldn't do that, but you want to make sure that dont have any dead flow spots resulting from the arrangement, and of course that whatever adhesive you use is marine safe. I have 1 piece of rock glued to both the bottom and side of my reef to add physical stability.

I would agree on the flow issue. I just think it would look pretty cool. Like adding some shelves that stick out.

I have not glued rock but have used magnets. Definitely looks cool if you do it right.

Do a search on rock wall. A lot of threads with plenty of info on how to create them and maintain them.

I tried siliconing some small shelf pieces and failed at it. I think some did stick with putty, but didn't like the way it was looking.

I have not glued rock but have used magnets. Definitely looks cool if you do it right.
