Here is a picture of my 150 gallon mixed reef. I was hoping I could get some opinions on my aquascape. Thanks.

I really like the simplicity of it, and if you wanted to add more rock you have plenty of room. :)

+1 ... I like it too! If you run out of room for corals you have option to add a few more pieces of rock:)
Yeah that's why I'm torn. I have about 60 lbs of rock just sitting in my sump. I wanted a more contemporary look, which this scape is. But I kind of want it to look more natural now.

I personally love it and will be going for a more simpler look in my new tank.

All about ones preference ;)

I do like the look of the structure. But I find over time scaping like this limits the amount of available space and limits the type of corals you can select. If you were to use say encrusting type corals you would run out of room within a few months. Like the monti's you have in a few months (unless you constantly frag) they will grow and shade everything that is below them. So proper coral selection is a must. Once you do run out of room, yes you can add more rocks but without changing at least some of the existing structure it will be hard to work the new rocks in and still look natural. You will run the risk of it looking like a pile of rocks. For someone like me that loves a heavy bioload with lots of fast growing corals the shelf life of a scape like this would be 2 months. Don't get me wrong it looks great now. But in the end you are just causing yourself more work.

I think the aquascape is amazing! How did you create the overhangs?

I think all of them are beautiful buuuut Im more of a "pack it full" of rock type of gal haha

I like it. I prefer a tank with fewer species and more emphasis on aesthetic though. You can always do what the planted tanks folks do and just reset it every few years when you are tired of it or want to try something different.
