Aquascape

If the prior linked Spectrapure (which happens to be the one I own in the 180g/day version) is beyond your reach at the moment, here is a great system at a great price. This package even comes with your first set of replacement filters and a TDS meter.

Water quality is not something to skimp on. My suggestion is to stay with Spectrapure. Obviously just my opinion.

This rodi is different in that it doesn't have the second di cartridge and no inline tds meters, but yes it would work and it's still way better than cheaper units from other brands.

Spectrapure is 5 miles from me. haha.

The point I was making!!!

I understand the differences, merely offering an alternative at a different price point.

For sure, it's a great little unit and a lot of people around here use it.

You definitely don't wanna use tap, buy an RODI. If you are going sumpless, I suggest buying a HOB filter & skimmer down the road. But you don't need them right now, just to start your cycle.

I like your aquascape. One thing I have learned is that having space between your rockwork and glass is a huge benefit. Remember you may also have corals on those rocks too that you'll want to keep away from the glass too so that you can clean it. Good luck!

alright I added sand and saltwater. I have 1 powerhead running and the heater. The tank is at 84°. Should I go buy live rock and add it now, how do I add it to make sure it's pest free. Also for an ammonia source I was thinking about using some of my old cichlid food is that ok? The lights were only on for the pictures.
