Hi guys‍!!Beginner reefer here. My tank is currently cycling and Was wondering wether I should add more rocks to my aquascape. If so what would you guys recommend? I want my aquascape to be high and wide. Planning on keeping all kinds of corals as I progress.

I would definitely do rockwork at least 2/3 the way up to the water line, give you places to put lots of different coral. I always try to remember the Fibonacci sequence when doing my scape

You will typically find this “look” in all my tanks, even the 2 I have up now on R2R

If it were me i would go higher also. It also depends on the coral though. If you plan to put sps frags on the top you dont want it 6 inches from the water it gives them no room. If you are putting zoas up there then your rockwork can go much higher and still look good when tank grows out

Will the adding new rocks stall the cycle??

Will the adding new rocks stall the cycle??

No. It will not remove any of the bacteria that has built up so far. It may add some rocks that themselves have to mature and go through an ugly phase at a different point than your existing rocks sure, but the actual cycle in terms of nitrifying bacteria and your tanks bioload should be fine.
