Aquascaping and cycling Elos 70

Hey everyone, new reefer here from seattle

I finally decided to take a plunge into this wonderful hobby of reefing few months ago and bought a Elos 70 for a 35th bday present to myself and I think I'm about day or two away from cycling the tank.
I researched and studied so much about this hobby last couple months, it felt like I was back in college cramming for a exam.(honestly I don't even think I studied this hard in my college days)

So when the time came for aquascaping, I know I didn't want pile of rocks stacked up like a mountain. Luckily,the rule of thirds is very familiar concept to me since I majored in fine arts so composition of visual elements were paramount. I wanted a aquascape that will be pleasing in every viewpoint. It took 3 days,4 epoxies with 21 rocks to finally achieved the aquascape I had in mind.

Is it ok to put some carbon in a media bag and leave it in the sump at this moment?

What a great job with the aquascaping! I'm about to do the same thing in a few weeks after my pukani live rock finally cures...love the pukani look, but man is it dirty! I only wish I had your artistic eye! I'll probably end up with a pile of rocks

Thank you for the compliment. Yea i didn't know pukani was going to be that dirty and way too many dead stuff on it. I cured it with acid bath since I read so many stories of leaching phosphate for months.

Looks great! What epoxy did you use? And were your rocks wet at the time?

I used 2 different brands. One of them was JB waterweld in a tube form and the other was 2 part mix marine epoxy by loctite. I tried using quickcrete but didn't have much success with it and I wouldn't recommend it either. But out of the first two mentioned, I would suggest using the 2 part marine epoxy.
I pressure washed them before putting on the epoxy but I waited for them to dry out.
