Not really a question but I want to vent how hard it is to aquascape my tank. I had it setup nicely outside the tank and could not reproduce inside due to there being water and it being a little more slippery. lol.

After spending hours moving rocks around in the tank, I resigned and went to bed with a very disturbed and cloudy tank. I remove about 30% of the water (havent started any filtration yet or added sand yet). Decided I need a few more rocks t round it so heading to LFS, get a few more rocks and finish aquascaping. Once complete I will add the sand, fill up the remaining water that is missing (Let everything settle) and then get the filter pads and bio media running to clear up the mess.

Anyway, I have my epoxy ready to go and want to get to a final config where I can glue them together and be comfortable with the configuration.

So fun but aaaarrrggghhhh!

Sounds like you did this the hard way. First rock then water. I know what you mean though, I thought I left inches extra space around and once I got it in the tank it was TIGHT.

We are just starting this for our 180. It's dry so I'm going to say easier but the tank has two cross braces so I'll have to make it in sections or just build it in the tank. To further complicate things, I don't think me and my wife are on the same page as to what it should look like. LOL

I definitely agree! If you’re not already committed to the epoxy you plan to use, I highly recommend the Emarco cement. You can mold it easily and it will literally hold anything in place, even weird configurations that defy gravity.

hard but pretty happy with how things turned out.
