I just watched a video. What does the baking soda do ?
If this works like shown, it would be great. Fast, very easy and low in cost.

Has anyone used this method ?

I’m guessing the baking soda Just acts like a thickener to help add structural integrity.

great idea though! I’ll look into this for sure for my next build

Wouldnt the baking soda affect the alk in the tank? Maybe not. Just a though.

Thinking of trying to mix the super glue and baking soda then putting it on the bottom of the frag. Then put it in the tank. Worth a try. I'm sick and tired of my large Hermit crabs knocking over my coral!

I've never heard of that... and their scape was terrible. It looked like a tower of rock. But what do I know lol

I did not like it either, pretty plain, but to each it's own.

When I finish the tank setup, I'll tray gluing two hand size rocks and slam it down on the carpet and see how strong it is. (me wife says, not on my carpet you won't)

Yes, interesting.

I was thinking that as I read the slam on the carpet sentence. First think in my mind was he must live alone, my wife would kill me

Below is a video about a guy that his tank started leaking and he fixed it by this method. I wonder if he kept it running as is, or transferd everything to a new tank ?

When this guy said,.. "thank you'' for the idea of this method. It's a artificial coral business.

Here's just one seller on eBay. 50 tubes for 8.00, shipped.

Would these be too small to work with ?

"Mini tubes, each tube contains about 2 gram of LIQUID adhesive."

That's interesting. I've used the super glue and baking soda trick to repair plastic and bone nuts on guitars. The baking soda sucks up the glue and dries instantly. Never thought about putting it under water.

I wonder how it will affect the water perimeters with that much baking soda!

I wouldn't think much, as some of the extra you can shake it off. What they are doing is a little overdone & messing around. The only soda that will become a part of the rock is where the super glue was used.

"bone nuts on guitars"

Wow, haven't thought about using this on mine !
(hey,....let's start a repair business) lol

For glueing just frags, the coral epoxy-stick things go a long ways...... I just did some today.

Gel-Superglue for some, or gel and then fill/wedfe in a bit of putty for the rest

No but I'm going to try it! We failed with epoxy and gluing our rocks together. Thank you for the post!
