I like it, lots of room to add corals and to have the coral to fill in.

Looks like a good start....now to plan where and what kind of coral to buy...

I like the look, just would be worried about not being able to clean behind the rock. I try to keep my rock off the back walls so there can be flow and no build up there.

Ok so my fifth attempt, bit of tweaking and decided to leave it be and put down my sand. I only hope my rock forgives me and doesn't die. This has to be the toughest challenge of all time!
Now most of my rockwork isn't very secure so am intending to reenforce with putty - is that the way to go? Thanks so much for all of your comments and advice [emoji4]

If it's not secure I suggest you putty it. Something like an urchin or some turbo snails can knock over loose stuff no problem and it will either crash down and smash every coral on the path to the bottom or it will get knocked straight off onto the sand. I don't use putty so I just stack my rocks in a way that they are very stable. Unfortunately the scape is meh due to that, but eventually it will be filled with coral lol.

Looks good!
You could drill and insert driveway acrylic rods two pair your pieces together! :) Rock scaping is OCD for sure lol!
After I tried this I will always do it this way. It's pretty sweet! I use a piece of acrylic about the dimension of the bottom of tank and build off that; all rock is secured to each other and you can disassemble it later and put it back together, win win for ya ;)
Rods are cheap at Home Depot.
Here's a peak at mine if you don't mind:

If you want to do it and your sand is still dry, a Bucket Head vacuum for a Home Depot bucket would make it easy to suck up your sand and put it right back :-)

Hopefully not hijacking here, but the driveway acrylic rods at Home Depot that you mentioned...what section of HD are those located? I'm going to break down my 240g soon (redoing flooring) and want to rescape it.

Depends on your store, but check this out! :) If you go on HD's web page, look up your store, search your item you're looking for, then just below your result they show you the Isle and Bin number of the item you're searching for!!
Haha, this is so awesome! [emoji38] I still go into HD and wander around, then I'm like, oh the web page! Lol. Good luck! And you'll love the modularity. Smaller pieces you might wanna glue, etc. Have fun!

If it's not too late, I've posted this elsewhere, but this stuff is amazing for setting smaller pieces that aren't secured via acrylic driveway rod. It'll blend right in after the tank is established too ;)

I've always used egg crate under the rock myself. Also at HD. The sand goes in after rocks. This helps add stability to the rock work and won't crack the bottom if something comes falling down.
