Aquascaping???

I was wondering if anyone knows if its ok to use plastic hangers to do custom aquascaping. I want to use the plastic coat hangers as rods to mount rock work???

i would recommend using acrylic rods. the plastic may be fine, but it is also likely to leach silicates and phosphates. i use acrylic rods in my tank, drill a hole in the rock and it allows you to stack them so they won't fall.

I have a friend that did that. They work fine, but will bend w/ weight. He used the fat ones.
