No clue what is going on or if these pumps are just junk. Bought a brand new brs stage 7 plus RODI unit for our new house. Water pressure here was not the best so we got a whole house booster pump. have 45psi now to the RODI. Figured instead of cranking the house booster pump we will get a aquatec 8800 pump. Well im on my third one and not a single one has even budged the PSI on the rod gauge. I have it hooked up just how Randy did in his instructional video so its definitely hooked up right. Anyone else have this issue? There is NO way three pumps are doing the same thing

Did you already try turning the pressure up on the pump? What all have you tried?
What is the pump doing?

I tried turning the pump up with the hex bolt it has, disconnecting it from the RO and seeing if the pressure goes up and then moving everything to different facets/source water. Nothing has helped

Have you ran the pump with out the ro membrane just feed water to pump and then pump to nothing and tried with the pump on and off? I had to give my pump a smack on the bottom to get it started it wouldnt turn on I thought it was quiet but they are kinda loud

I completely disconnected it from the RODI altogether and sprayed in it into the sink. its definitely on but just not increasing the pressure

Attached are some pictures of this booster and my BRS system. My house pressure was around 35 psi before I installed this pump. I now get a constant 90 psi with the pump running.

I have it set up exactly how dschuffert has theirs set up. One thing I just noticed, if I close the valve on the RO membrane I still am getting water coming out of the DI stage. Isn't it only supposed to be going through the membrane with that valve shut?

That makes me wonder if there is an obstruction somewhere in the system. When I open the valve on my membrane it flushes the membrane and the water goes out the black line to the drain.

Its a brand new rodi from BRS so I cant imagine having one but it is definitely possible. And its coming out with the booster pump off too.

It appears the booster is on its side. From what I remember you should try to install it upright to flush air out of it. Hopefully installing it in the correct orientation helps.

About a month ago a friend of mine was having issues with brand new bought from brs rodi system. As it turned out the whole thing was plumbed wrong!!!

I might still have the diagram I drew him for you to double check…

The set screw on top should be wide open by default? Turning counterclockwise will decrease the pressure. Also, the booster should go after the carbon blocks and just before the membranes. It’s pointless to have it in front of the sediment filter/carbon blocks, as these don’t require the high pressure that the membranes need. Plus you benefit having it after the pre-filters, as they will catch any particles that would get lodged in the pump.

Glad you got it fixed!
