Aquatic canister without uv?

i got an aquatop cf500uv canister filter as an upgrade for my qt. Since I'm running meds I pulled the uv bulb. Is it safe to run like that? The contacts remain dry in the quartz sleeve.

You should be fine no different than running it with the bulb burnt out right?
