Just got this Di filter to replace my in line one, only was getting about 100 gallons or so out of the in line filter.

Any one using this one? If so how many gallons did you get. I'm at 20ppm with the ro and with this I'm at 0ppm

Yes.. I actually built a complete system around two of them.. I started off with a ro buddy.. Then, I, over time upgraded to the typical 2 stage of carbon and sediment, the membrane, an aquatic life booster buddy, and the second unit has has the two di cartridges.. They work well for the price.. And they are very reliable so far..

How many gallons do you get out of them? I have a 5 stage ro 100gpd but I live in Arizona are typical tap water is 480 ppm

Honestly, at this point I am no longer even sure.. I have run the system for over two years at this point, refilling the resin myself.. I stopped tracking long ago. But I will say, that the original carts fills didn't last as long as the refill material. I am on, if I remember, 5 months with this refill .

I am in Michigan, and the tds of the tap is 180 ppm.

How old is your RO membrane? The newer Dow Filmtec 100 gpd membranes have a 98% rejection rate at 50 psi. At 480 incoming TDS, you should be getting around 10 TDS post RO membrane. 20 TDS seems kinda high post RO especially since you mentioned that you're using a booster pump. It looks like your membrane is operating at a less than a 96% rejection rate. I've read that every 2% in RO membrane efficiency loss will cut DI resin life in half. So your 20 TDS going into the DI resin I'd imagine will rip through the DI resin fairly quickly.

I'm using s permeate pump my water pressure is about 40 psi

That low water pressure would probably explain why your RO membrane is not operating at it's rated efficiency level.

If you don't get a booster pump to increase your incoming pressure, then at least install a DI bypass using a 3 way ball valve to flush out TDS creep when you first start making water. That will at least help you in prolonging the life of your DI resin.

When I tested it this morning it was 16 ppm, my tap water is sometimes in the 500ppm I plan on getting a whole house softener soon to help a little

That's what I do I also don't run the di for drinking, just use it for my aquarium water
