Aquatic Life hybrid dimmable vs non dimmable

Just curious what people thought about the dimming capability, is it a must when having T5s? I know the non dimmable fixture has 2 power cords and if you were to set a timer and off set the 2 T5 fixers would that be re-creating the dimming effect?
Totally new to T5s but wanted to use a hybrid for a 90 gal I’m putting together, thank you in advance!

i just got the 61" version , i run my radions on the ab program ..lights start 1130 and end at 915. my t5s are set to come on from 2 to 8 . you can control your leds to do whatever ya want so you can manipulate it that way ya know

Ohh okay that makes a lot of sense! What bulbs do you run if you don’t mind me asking?

2 blue plus 2 coral plus , I dont like super blue , sorry for dirty glass

@tautog83 how are those mounts working for you ? I was thinking about getting those, but wasn't sure if they would put the lights far enough forward ? BRS says " Mounting Distance From Wall - 1” - 3.75” from the wall"...does that push it forward enough so that it's centered in your tank ? How far away from the wall is the back of your tank ? Mine is just a little over 4" and I feel that's a bit too much for this to work...i just dont know without seeing it though.

I agree, let the LEDs be the sunrise/ set.
I run t5's only 4 hours right now.

If you ask aquatic life they can help you out with extenders they give you a bit more room . As far as much I'm not positive , I forget how far mine is but it's pretty close to what you would have . I'd ask aquatic life how much more room.the extenders would give you . Yes mine reaches to middle of tank and it's a red sea 750 and it's not flush against the wall maybe 2.5 inches or so
