I’m just about ready to buy this fixture and I was wondering how everyone had theirs mounted up. And also, I noticed the fixture said it was 2 outlet plugs. Does that mean it’s 2 plugs for the fixture PLUS the plugs for the LEDs? Or 2 plugs overall?

Correct, it's two cords for the t5s plus the cords for your leds. There is a mod you can do to the light to make it only one cord for all 4 t5s. As far as mounting. I have mine hung from the ceiling using the included hanging kit.

Yes, please tell, i also want to purchase one and use a Kessil with it.... anyone using this set up? Pros /cons ??? Heard you can mount with TV wall mount ???

Running this fixture with an ap700. No complaints

Just read through it a little.. don’t think I’d be able to tackle a job like that since I’m not very knowledgeable in the electrical department lol maybe I could get a friend to help me out

What is everyone’s opinion on doing. 48” t5 hybrid with kessil 360 on a 125 6 foot tank? I think if I put the 360’s on the ends and one in the middle it should be more than enough coverage. Thoughts? (Will be going on a mixed reef, sps high up)

I have 4 160's over my 75g. You should be okay with the 3 Kessil 360's considering they have more spread.

Why not the 60" version?

Reefing on a budget, I watched the brs video on the t5 fixture with 360s and the par is great. Found a 48 with t5 bulbs for 200 and it’s barely used.

Here’s the 48” with only 3 of the 4 t5’s on no kessils in yet. At a height of 0 and 6 inches above 6 foot tank. I think it will be fine.

Mine is under-mounted from an Ikea Kallax 4x1 shelving unit over my tank. Eventually I will have new rails made that allow the fixture to slide out / in for easier tank servicing. 8.5" above the water line, one power cord from the fixture from doing mods, four cords from the Kessil A160's themselves (3 power, 1 0-10v).

I am considering buying a t5 hybrid or perhaps the new DX18...my tank is only 15” wide and I am concerned that I will have a lot of light spill when mounted at the right height. I don’t believe the reflectors are adjustable in any way? I can’t really mod the distance between the fixtures and then add any LED’s later on. Any advice is appreciated!
