Aquatic life hybrid with Radions

hello everyone I finally got my fixture mounted over the weekend and wanted to hear your current configuration

Height from water line ?
Radion schedule and overall intensity?
Hours on Radions and hours T5s are on ?
Bulb combinations?

Sorry for all the questions I’m completely new to T5s

Currently my Radions are 10” of the water line on a modified AB+ Schedule, Ramp up starts at 1:30pmthen Ramp down at 10:30 I added a bit more white for the first half of the schedule about 6 hours they are on 40% instead the 24% since I don’t have the pro version.

For bulbs I went with 3B+ 1 C+ 65ook ones were too white for my me.

Please share your your current setup configuration

Mine is about 12" off the water, give yourself some room to work, There is plenty of light. BTW I have 2 360's so i cant help further

I felt 10” was too high for those T5 but of course I’m going by my eyes idk what kind of pars I’m getting, they look a bit on the dim side from what I kept reading about T5s I assumed they were going to be brighter or more or less the same as the Radions but they are not I was considering 7-8” of the water line to contain some of the light spills in my room

Depends on bulb selection, too coral plus or blue plus will light things up

I see it with the C+, what I’m curious about is that height of the water and how long are people Running T5s in conjunction with LEDs

Radion XR15 gen 4 pro. Mounted 9” above the water on the Coral Lab AB+ schedule modified to running 10 hours a day. I’m not running T5s.

I'm also curious to see what people with the T5/Radion hybrid combo are doing.

If switching from 3 XR30's to the Aquatic Life hybrid.

Are people driving most of the lighting with the Radions and supplementing X hours per day with the T5's? Or are the T5's doing most of the work with the Radions providing supplemental effects?

I was thinking about keeping my current Radion schedule and slowly ramping up the time the T5's are on each day.

Visually the T5s look weaker than the Radions so T5s are more of supplement for me atm I kept them about 10” of the water and only reduced my schedules white settings which I had at 40% for 5 hours instead of the 24% the AB+ recommends and lit up all 4 T5s during that period instead it’s been about a week and I haven’t seen any I’ll effects and I’m getting great PE. I went with 3B+ 1C+ but will probably toss in a Actinic bulb next round

At least for SPS 4xT5s don’t seem powerful enough to be the main lights but supplement def looks good

For me the T5's + XR30's at 55% intensity = over 500 PAR. Be careful.

I have a 120 gal DT, 2 xr15 g4 pros, 2 blue plus, 1 coral plus, 1 purple plus, lights r roughly 8 in up. The drops in intensity r when the t5's come on, roughly from 10:30 am to 3:30 PM. I will be adding length of t5's and intensity of LEDs down the road.

I ended up lowering the White To 30% from 40% I was running them a bit higher than the AB+ recommended. I have 3 blue plus and 1 coral plus I started running them 2 hours for the first few days and didn’t see any ill effects when they were on so decided to keep all 4 bulbs on for the 6 hour period closely monitoring didn’t acclimate them much since they were still getting good pars(blind annotations) with the white channel 2 weeks later thighs are still looking good. Only my purple stylo looks different but better the polyps are not as extended as before so it looks a bit more purple and solid

My intensity is at 56% at 80% overall but I do have the XR30 non pro, that was the other reason why I bumbed my whites since I figure these would be a bit weaker than the pro
