Who has this fixture and likes it, loves it, hates it? My first impression is that they look cheap and they have two power cords which I’m not a fan of. I have a really clean rimless tank with hydra 26 HD and don’t want to ruin it with this fixture. At end of day I would rather my coral look good than the tank itself.

What bulbs are you running?
Do you run it with white peak only or entire day?
How high do you have it off water line?

I've got the old version and I did a single cord mod to it coming out the middle of the rear light. Followed one of the DIYs on here. I have it 9" over the water and mated with 2 hydra 26s. This pic was from last Oct.

What size tank do you have? Giesemann Aurora or ATI Powermodule are nice options for t5/led hybrids that still look really sleek. They are not the most economical solution though.

I like mine. What’s one more power cord. I am still working on my set up so power cords have not been tucked up yet.

I have the 24" version with a Hydra 26HD. I run the AB+ program on the LED, but only run the green, red, and white for 4 hours. I have the light 11.5 inches above the water line. I am using 2 ATI Blue+ bulbs, 1 ATI Actinic, and 1 ATI coral+ bulb. I really like the light and how my tank has responded. I think the new dimmable version is out and has only one cord for both light fixtures.

Why not get the New AquaticLife DX hybrid if you want something better looking with 1 cord and dim-able ballasts. Dave the lead engineer is brilliant and makes great stuff. Aquaticlife is good at cutting corners that don't matter. They use HEP ballasts and aluminum housings. No fans, but this is quieter and it is how t5 lamps were designed to function.

Remember back in the day when Coralife made those metal halide combo fixtures that performed as well as the giseemann but at half the cost. That was when Dave was designing them for Coralife. Now he is out on his own and continues the legacy of excellent performance for your dollar.
