Aquatic life RO system good?

You guys do realize that Marine Depot was selling full size (10" housings) 100GPD complete 4 stage RO/DI systems for just $64 a few weeks ago, right? During their BRS buyout/liquidation sale.

If you were on the fence, or looking at a cheap RO/DI system like the Buddie, it seems like that would have been the perfect time to buy in on a quality unit for dirt cheap. First they started selling them for $80 and then dropped the price down to $64 the last few days.. I couldn't say no at that price.

I paid $64 for the entire 100GPD RO/DI system and got two full sets of replacement filters to go with it for another $20.

Some people seem to like them, but I'd go with a full size RODI like BRS or similar just so you're not stuck with proprietary filter cartridges.
BRS, Spectrapure, or my go-to, www.buckeyehydro.com all have much better units for very little extra upfront $$$, and when you factor in the costs of replacement filters, the full sized units will end up costing much less in the long run.

This is what I use and it works great. 100 gpd and it can and like said before your not limited to proprietary filters.

Looks like you have a permanent setup. That would be great. Did you have to drill holes in your actual plumbing?

No holes were drilled. I used the "garden hose adapter" to tap in to the cold plumbing faucet that was already there prior to the water heater and ran the drain hose to the already installed drain for a water softener.

Despite this though the kit could be used just like the one you linked as a portable unit with the included garden hose adapter or sink faucet adapter.
