On BRS there is a new Aquatic life t5/hybrid and the old one is on sale anybody know the difference?

New one took a lot of the complaints of the first/old one and they built that into the new one. There is a good review on YouTube about the upgrades.

I have the DX18 and the ballast blew, 2 months in. AL told me I’m the first to have a blown ballast. Go figure

They announced the DX18 series mid last year, it is dimmable. The older model was not. BRS has both on their website.

It clearly says dimmable. Maybe you are seeing something different.

The difference you're seeing is that the "NEW" are for the newer LED lights - Hydra 32/64, etc.

The "SALE" fixture is for the older LED lights - Hydra 26/52.

At least looking through them, that is the only difference I saw.

Yeah I think @TexAgReefer nailed it. BRS has some of the old models on sale and some of the old models are not on sale. I agree, the difference appears to be which LED bracket it comes with. They also have the new DX18 model which is not on sale.
