Aquatic life twist in question

I just received my new sediment and carbon aquatic life twist in filters and they are sealed in plastic as I remember they should be. However the twist in ro membrane I received was not sealed so I sent it back to amazon and received another unsealed ro membrane. I would think their membranes are sealed in plastic like the rest of the twist in filters to know they are not used or tampered with. I want to make sure some one is not returning used ro membranes to amazon and sending them out to people. Can anyone confirm for me if they have bought brand new aquatic life twist in ro membranes that are sealed in plastic and not loose with a removable plastic cap on the end?

I don't think my membranes were sealed, though my DI resin certainly was, but best to have a TDS meter of your own to verify your unit is functioning properly.
