Was considering getting the AquaticLife T5 hybrid 48", 4 bulbs
How much PAR increase can I expect with the T5?

Has anyone purchased the T5 and had to readjust or restart the 'acclimation' mode on their LED?

I wouldn’t be doing that upgrade for PAR alone.

But for the diffused lighting. Increased spread increased blending. And the reduction of self shadowing on the corals.

Pretty much what I'm after, just concerned with how much 'more' PAR will be introduced. The new DX8 version has dimmable T5 but I think its price point is going to be significantly more than the current non-dimmable version

I ask because I too have a 59” wide tank with 3 Hydra 26’s. I just placed my order for the dimmable aquatic life T5 hybrid. Curious to see if you pulled the trigger and/or are happy with the results?

My motivation was diffused lighting and decreasing a little bit of the disco effect. However, running the hydra on AB+ settings decreased par in my tank quite a bit compared with sliders at 100% (which I doubt anyone would run them like that). I’m hoping that the balance of the T5 lighting will increase par based on this.

I also just purchased this fixture for my 525. How are you liking the results? Also I am running the same settings on my Hydras (3) with a tweak or two. Will be mounting the hybrid tomorrow so curious if you reduced your light settings? Mixed reef.... SPS dominant. Thanks
