aquatlantis elegance expert stand.... good brand?

I got a IM 20gal fusion nuvo tank and I'm looking around for a stand.

I refused to pay their brand stand of over $400 cdn lol

I saw this stand called aquatlantis elegance expert stand 24x16x32.5"... my tank is 23.5x15"

I don't have experience with stands since jt my first tank. But apparently it suitable up to 30gal. I know it not solid wood as I would like. But at $175 cdn, ain't bad at all

Do the purchase?

I’m sure it’s fine. It is likely particleboard or similar type material that absorbs water more easily than I prefer. Again it will definitely work, you’ll just need to be careful to minimize water damage. You could also consider adding some extra water proofing finish to it.

If you have the tools, you could probably build your own solid wood stand for a similar cost. Lots of plans on Pinterest.

What product is it to get .extra water proofing finish?

Have no tools beside a drill and some basic hammer and screwdriver, I live in a condo.. probably not ideal to build a diy wood stand lol

Also would like a nice looking stand because it right in the middle in my small condo beside living/dining space... could be costly adding up for the comestic aspect

i have an aquaatlantis reef 56g. i believe its the same style stand by the looks of it. you wont need extra water proofing, its a very glossy plastic type coating on what i think is particle board. its plenty strong for aquariums.
